Women’s Therapy Groups

In-Person Women’s Somatic Experiencing Group

This  group offers a supportive space for women to explore explore healing through Somatic Experiencing® (SE), a gentle, body-based approach to addressing trauma and stress. Held outdoors in Wildcat Canyon in Richmond, CA, sessions are designed to support presence, regulation, and connection—both within yourself and with others.

As a licensed psychologist and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), I’ll guide the group in learning to track and support your own nervous systems. Together, we’ll co-create a felt sense of safety and connection, sometimes called a “social nervous system,” cultivating the kind of awareness that brings us into the present moment, where healing and meaningful shifts can unfold and become embodied.

In this group, being witnessed, and witnessing others can be a powerful source of healing. It reduces shame, builds belonging, and reminds us we are not alone in what we carry or long for. Each session includes opportunities for personal exploration, resourcing through the natural world, and building resilience from the inside out.

Together we will:

  • Learn simple, embodied tools to support nervous system regulation
  • Experience the steady, nourishing presence of both the group and the natural world around you
  • Feel supported in reducing stress, deepening emotional and physical regulation
  • Expand your capacity to feel connected, alive, and grounded in the face of life’s challenges

Online Women’s Somatic Experiencing Group

This is an opportunity for women to explore healing through Somatic Experiencing in a group setting in an online format . Similar to the in-person group, the online group offers space for women to engage with life’s challenges, whether named as trauma or not, including anxiety, depression, developmental wounds, medical experiences, birth, relationship issues, and other life events in a supportive environment.

Sessions will include learning tools to track your own nervous system, decrease stress and find more resilience. Somatic Experiencing adapts well to an online format, in that Autonomic Nervous System tracking and co-regulation can and do occur at a distance.
